The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star told Popeater that she now has a relaxed attitude to the 75-minute video, which hit the internet earlier this week, despite her earlier attempts to block its distribution.
She said: "You know, like everything else I'm doing in my life, it's coming around for a reason. I'm just going to wait and see what happens. My reaction is, 'What are you going to do?'"
Staub also claimed that the existence of the tape wouldn't have caused as much of a storm if the unknown man in the video had been her ex-husband or another long-term partner.
"[Is] it not ok for a single mum of eight years to have a healthy sex drive?" she asked.
She then stated that she was aware her romantic display was being filmed, as "she was holding the camera".
"It was for he and I, we were playful and fun," she claimed. "I wasn't ashamed of my body but I did have problems with my implants, they were very painful and they were not pretty and they became less pretty over time.
"He didn't have a problem with that. He made me feel beautiful."
Staub also hit back at criticism that the release of the tape was a publicity stunt, saying that "nobody does things for the reasons people like to make believe that they happen".
