Bethenny Frankel 'like baby knowledge sponge'

Bethenny Frankel has joked that she and husband Jason Hoppy were like "baby knowledge sponges" following the birth of their daughter.

The Real Housewives Of New York City regular - who married Hoppy in March - welcomed daughter Bryn in May.

Writing in her People blog, the reality star admitted that she "knew nothing" about living with a newborn when she returned from the hospital with Bryn.

"Jason and I knew nothing. It was like bringing an animal from the wild to live with us. The hospital was our own little cocoon where everything was protected," she wrote.

"The two of us were like baby knowledge sponges, and we were so nervous, excited and emotional. This was also a time when Jason and I were so connected to each other and so grateful for our life together."

She added that "there is nothing like the first time you give birth" and described her experience of motherhood so far as "perfection".

Frankel - who has hinted at an exit from reality TV in the future - previously said that parenthood was "magical" and that having Bryn has "softened" her.
