Cohen made the comments this week on his late-night talk show Watch What Happens Live, on which he described Montag as "delusional" for claiming that she was in talks to join the second season of the popular reality series.
"Andy's tasteless remarks were hurtful and completely unnecessary," Montag told People. "I was simply being playful.
"I'm well aware I'm not the right demographic for that show, but Andy Cohen took it to a malicious place," Montag added. "I have always been a fan of the Housewives franchise and I don't appreciate being bullied."
Cohen's comments referred to a tweet Montag posted on Wednesday saying, "Watch out Real Housewives of Beverley Hills. Here comes Heidi," followed by a link to a related news story.
The Housewives host has yet to respond to Montag's accusation of bullying.
