'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Russell Armstrong commits suicide

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband Russell has committed suicide, the LA coroner's office has confirmed.

Russell's roommate found the 47-year-old hanging in his bedroom last night and then alerted authorities, sources told TMZ.

The reality star was pronounced dead by LA city firefighters when they arrived at his Mulholland Drive home on Monday evening.

Chief Coroner Ed Winter disclosed that no suicide note was found near Russell's body.

Taylor filed to divorce Russell last month, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of their contentious separation.

Taylor hasn't yet commented on Russell's suicide, but has reportedly been told of Russell's passing.
