Lauren Conrad has described a strange encounter with one of her fans when she attended the New York premiere of The Dark Knight.
The Hills star, who was interviewed on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien, explained that she and a friend were looking for the bathroom before accidentally making their way into the public theatre - just as a herd of fans spotted her.
"I turned and there were like 20, 30 girls just running in my direction, and I didn't really know what to do, so I just started running the other way," she explained.
"This woman was leading the pack holding out her baby. She was just a few feet away from me and she just threw her baby at me."
Of the baby's safety, she continued: "It was fine... My back was to her and it ricocheted off me... so I picked it up and the woman wasn't even concerned about her crying baby. She was like, 'Get it together, smile'."
Conrad, who recently made a decision to leave the MTV reality series, added that it is "the middle-aged" fans who "are the craziest ones".
