Spencer Pratt posts joke shaving video

Spencer Pratt has followed through on his vow to shave his beard for wife Heidi Montag.

The former Hills star recently said that he wanted to start taking pride in his appearance after beginning to reconcile his relationship with estranged wife Montag.

He has since posted a video online showing him having his beard removed, saying: "I am here on this special day because I will be removing my flesh-coloured beard in honour of things working out between my wife Heidi Montag and myself."

The tape shows Pratt enlisting the help of a friend to remove his facial hair with a large knife, only to end the segment covered in fake blood, joking that unnamed brands refused to sponsor him because they thought he was "off brand".

He was later spotted showing off his new look with Montag at a beach in Malibu, where the couple kissed and posed together for photographers in the ocean.

The pair sparked rumours that they had decided to give their marriage a second chance earlier this month when they were snapped kissing while celebrating Montag's 24th birthday at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
