According to Monsters & Critics, the reality star - who worked with Port at Diane Von Furstenberg before landing a new job at Elle - told Famous magazine that the pair were cordial when they met.
"We're both incredibly busy, but we always try and take a few moments to catch up whenever we bump into each other, which is rare," she is quoted as saying.
The socialite added that she would like to think she is "the complete opposite" to how she is portrayed on The City.
Port was recently quoted as saying that she "doesn't get along" with Palermo, saying: "I don't fight with her on a daily basis and we're not in each other's lives all the time but Olivia and I aren't the best of friends."
The City wrapped its second season on MTV this week.
