Harris, Swiderski engagement is "not typical"

The 30-year-old became engaged to Swiderski during the finale of the ABC reality show's fifth season and the majority of their romance has been played out in the media.
"This engagement for us is very different to typical engagements," she told Ellen DeGeneres.
"One of the things my dad told me is, 'You're not walking down the aisle, you're engaged to start a new life with each other'.
"We'd love to get married in the next year, but what's more important is living together, adopting a dog, joining charities, working together and going to family functions. We're trying to work at [our relationship] at a more normal person's rate."
