Jennifer Love Hewitt laughs off 'Bachelorette' Ben F romance rumours

Jennifer Love Hewitt has laughed off rumours that she is romancing Bachelorette contestant Ben Flajnik.

Recent reports had claimed the Client List actress and Flajnik, who appeared on Ashley Hebert's season of The Bachelorette, had been spotted together in San Francisco.

Love Hewitt had previously tweeted her affections for Flajnik while watching The Bachelorette finale.

However, speaking on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, she said: "I was looking for something pop culture to tweet about. I'm new to the Twitter situation and wanted to have fun with the tweeters out there in the world so I sent out funny tweets about Ben F then it got all blown out of proportion and now the rumour mill is crazy!"

She added: "I have nothing to say except I'm totally single! I don't know why people are making it such a big deal."

Love Hewitt, who appears in the new movie Cafe alongside ex-boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, did confirm that she had recently met Flajnik but insisted it had been "totally by coincidence" and the meeting had been blown out of proportion.

When quizzed about whether she had "made out" with the reality star, she would only say: "Rumours are rumours!"

Winemaker Flajnik was the runner-up on Hebert's season of The Bachelorette. He proposed to the dental student in the season finale but she turned him down in favour of construction manager JP Rosenbaum.
