The developer and Celebrity Apprentice host is currently considering a possible bid for the Republican presidential nomination.
He referenced his political aspirations at the beginning of this week's Celebrity Apprentice, which saw La Toya Jackson leaving the competition.
In an interview with NBC's Today Show, eliminated Jackson described Trump's potential bid as "very courageous", saying: "I commend him for that. We're living in America, it's the land of opportunity to do whatever you like and please. If you feel you can accomplish it, then by all means do."
She added: "If he's thinking about running the country any way that he's run his businesses... You have to remember this guy is an incredible developer. He has proven to us what he can do as far as development, so if he runs the country in that way with that kind of energy, he might be doing really well."
Trump has suggested that he might use the May 22 finale of Celebrity Apprentice to announce details of a press conference in which he will formally address his political future.
Jackson, who was playing for AIDS Project Los Angeles, was fired from the show on Sunday night after Trump decided that he needed to strengthen the women's team in order to give them a good chance of competing with the men.
The Celebrity Apprentice airs Sundays at 9/8c on NBC.
