The Celebrity Apprentice star, who considered a possible run for office earlier this year, will host a Republican presidential forum in Des Moines, Iowa later this month.
Trump writes in his new book Time to Get Tough: Making America that his support would help any candidate to defeat US President Barack Obama in November 2012.
"The Republican field has several good candidates in the race - most of whom have come to see me at my office in Trump Tower," the mogul wrote, according to Newser.
"The reason they come to see me isn't just because I am a nice person but because millions of people listen to what I say and know I 'get it'."
He continued: "Some magazines have said I am the single most important endorsement a presidential candidate can have. I don't know if that's true but it wouldn't surprise me."
Trump also wrote about being mocked by President Obama at the White House Correspondents dinner in May.
During the annual event, Obama made fun of Trump for questioning his birthplace and joked that the Celebrity Apprentice star should focus on investigating other urban legends.
While Trump initially branded Obama's jabs as inappropriate, he now admits that it was fun being the "centre of attention" at a major political event.
"While I shouldn't admit this, I don't mind being the centre of attention, especially on such an evening. I loved it!" he revealed.
"I didn't quite know how to react. Should I be laughing? Smiling? Frowning? I wasn't sure so I decided to keep a straight face, with a few little smiles every once in a while because I knew the cameras were on me."
Trump's Republican presidential debate will be broadcast on December 27 on the Ion network.
