The Real Housewives of New Jersey star claimed that she is not offended by the hard-partying antics on the MTV show.
The cast of Jersey Shore have been criticised for their heavy drinking and representation of Italian-Americans.
"They are young kids doing their thing," Manzo told Us Weekly at the Bravo network's Upfronts in New York. "Let them be kids and one day they'll just look at it and realise."
The 50-year-old mother-of-three added that she is not worried that the cast will give the state of New Jersey a bad name because they all hail from New York.
"They are not from Jersey so I don't care," she quipped.
The second season of Real Housewives of New Jersey will premiere this June.
