Snooki rep 'responds to magazine proposal'

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi's representative has reportedly said that the Jersey Shore star is currently "single".

According to E! Online, the reality star's spokesperson was responding to reports that former Iraq veteran Jeff Miranda had proposed to Snooki on the cover of a magazine.

The latest issue of Steppin' Out features a photograph of Miranda on the cover alongside the message: "Jeff Miranda has a question for Snooki - WILL YOU MARRY ME?!"

However, a representative for Snooki said: "Rumours of Nicole's romantic status have been greatly exaggerated. She is single with no immediate plans to change that."

Snooki and Miranda were reportedly introduced recently at a nightclub in Seaside Heights, NJ. Miranda later told People that the pair had an instant attraction and "the greatest connection" on their first meeting.

Miranda has yet to comment on the apparent proposal.
