The Jersey Shore star is currently promoting his debut book Here's the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore.
"It's a humourous look, or guide, to being in your 20s and eating, going out, dating, working out," he said on The Today Show. "It's sort of like a lifestyle but a very humourous way to look at it, almost like Jersey Shore."
Al Roker then questioned whether the book's subtitle could be offensive to women, to which The Situation insisted that he had derived the word "grenade" as a joke and it wasn't intended to offend anybody.
The Situation also spoke about his success following the reality show, saying that he decided to "shoot for the stars" when he became unemployed at 25 years old. "I decided that I had to do something and why not shoot for the stars?" he said. "That's what I did. I went for my dreams, I didn't push them to the side, and that's why I always tell people not to forget their dreams."
Here's the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore is available now.
