The couple, who began dating in the show's first season but have had a historically rocky relationship, appeared on the MTV show's Reunion last night and revealed that they are no longer seeing each other.
"Right now, we're not together," Ortiz-Magro explained. "Things just got busy.
"I got involved in my life, she got involved in her life. I didn't really get to see her as much. When you live with someone all the time then go to seeing them once a week, it's kind of hard to deal with that."
Ortiz-Magro and Giancola both claimed that they were responsible for the end of the relationship, but Ortiz-Magro added that he ended it for Giancola as he was "travelling" a lot.
However, the pair added that they are "still friends" despite the end of their romance.
Jersey Shore was recently renewed for a sixth season by MTV and is expected to feature all of the current cast members.
