Allen: 'Lambert doing good after split'

Kris Allen has said that Adam Lambert is "doing good" after splitting from his boyfriend.

The season eight American Idol runner-up reportedly broke up with partner Drake LaBry to focus on his forthcoming For Your Entertainment LP.

Allen won the singing competition series and recently released the first single 'Live Like We're Dying' from his self-titled album.

He told E!: "We see each other every once in a while and we text all the time. He's doing good. He's obviously not completely happy about [the split], but I think it was just something that needed to happen."

Lambert earlier stated that he does not mind being single.
