In an interview with Latina magazine, Archuleta lamented that he has no-one to kiss under the mistletoe this holiday season.
"Um, nobody - no-one for me," he said. "It's just a matter of - I haven't gone too into thinking about it."
The American Idol runner-up went on to say that he plans to begin dating only when he meets the right person.
He added: "It's not like, 'I need a relationship'! You know, the time will come. I'll know when I'm ready and right now it's just not the time yet. It's when you find that person that you feel comfortable around."
It was previously reported that Archuleta is to perform on Fox's New Year’s Eve Live telecast.
