Lambert caused a stir earlier this week when he posted on Twitter that he was living rough on the streets of Los Angeles in order to pursue his music dream.
However, Entertainment Weekly reports that Lambert's 19 Entertainment rep has denied the singer's claims, adding that he has in fact been living with friends.
"Alex is not homeless. I don't know where that came from," the spokesman said. "He's been crashing on friends' couches while looking for an apartment, but he's getting a retainer and working on demos. He's with writers, he's working on music.
"He's not homeless. How could he be texting? How could he be going into a recording studio and sleeping on the streets? There's no record deal yet, but hopefully [with] these demos something could come from that."
The rep went on to attribute Lambert's Twitter comments to the singer having a "bad day".
