A judge has issued a bench warrant for former American Idol contestant Chikezie Eze.

TMZ says that the warrant is in connection to Eze's 2010 arrest on suspicion of felony identity theft.

According to police, Eze - who placed tenth in the seventh season of Idol - tried to use "fraudulent means" to complete a purchase of two bottles of cologne at a Neiman Marcus store last February.

Eze was sentenced to three years' probation and 45 days' community labour.

He reportedly did not show up to a Los Angeles court for a January 14 hearing. Judge Marsha Revel revoked his probation and issued the arrest warrant.
