Liv Tyler recalls 'embarrassing' Steven drive

Liv Tyler has recalled her "embarrassment" when her father Steven blasted one of his new songs from his car.

The Lord of the Rings actress told Jimmy Kimmel Live that the Aerosmith rocker treated her to a preview of the track during a recent drive in the Hollywood Hills.

"We went for a drive in his fancy sports car with the top down," she recounted on Monday night, adding that she is "embarrassed about convertibles in general".

"He blasted me his new single, which is amazing and beautiful, but I had this real parent-child embarrassment moment saying, 'Dad! Turn it down! Everybody can hear!'" she laughed. "People were waving at him going, 'Hey Steven!' He was [waving back]."

She added: "It was such a crazy moment but I actually got embarrassed!"

Tyler explained that the track in question was one recorded by her father - currently a judge on American Idol - as a solo artist, but confirmed reports that he is also working on new material with Aerosmith.

The star was on the show to promote her new movie Super, which opens April 1 and revolves around a man (Rainn Wilson) who transforms himself into a superhero when his love (Tyler) leaves him for a drug dealer (Kevin Bacon).
