The celebrities will acknowledge Shepherd's 45th birthday later this month with a private party held in Hollywood - an event which the group reportedly hopes will bridge the divide which has arisen in the past few weeks.
"The party will take place in LA on April 21. We are not doing it the night of her birthday [because] it falls on a Sunday and everyone needs to be in top condition to hit the dance floor on Monday, so Saturday night is perfect," a source told The Huffington Post.
"After all the drama over the last few days focusing on Jaleel White's tirade against professional partner Kym Johnson, this is exactly what the cast need. Everyone loves Sherri on the show and if she can bring together Joy Behar and Elizabeth Hasselbeck, she can unite the dancers on Dancing with the Stars."
White is said to have "gone ballistic" on Johnson during rehearsals last week, causing an argument which had to be broken up by show producers.
However, the former Family Matters star has since downplayed the incident, telling CNN: "Everyone has good weeks and bad weeks. This is the first time we had four days to learn a dance, it was personal story week so I think it was stressful, but we're fine. We're absolutely fine."
