Carter "flattered" by Pattinson comparison

Aaron Carter has insisted that he was "flattered" to be compared to Twilight star Robert Pattinson on last week's Dancing With The Stars.

The singer earned the comparison to Pattinson's vampire character from judge Bruno Tonioli following his Argentine tango with partner Karina Smirnoff.

He later told E! Online's Marc Malkin that he had not seen Twilight, adding: "I'm not personally into vampires."

Writing on his Twitter account, he said: "I didn't mean to offend any Twilight fans. I'm flattered that I was compared to Rob Pattinson. In fact, I'm going to rent the movie tonight."

Carter earned praise from the judges for his waltz during last night's live show, with panelist Len Goodman suggesting that it had been his "best dance" of the series.
