The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star switched her trademark spiky bob for long blonde hair extensions in January.
Speaking to Radar Online, her stylist Ted Gibson said that he will remove her old extensions this week, and replace them with a slightly different look.
"We're not putting them back in until Thursday. So she'll have short hair for a day," he explained.
"We're actually doing three different shades of blonde, a caramel, a beige blonde and a little bit of a lighter blonde. The extensions will last through the whole time she's on the show."
Gibson added that Gosselin is "thrilled beyond belief" to be in the dance competition, saying: "I think this is going to be really great for her."
Dancing With The Stars premieres March 22 on ABC, and from March 26 exclusively on Watch in the UK.
