Kathy Griffin: 'I didn't bully Palin'

Kathy Griffin has said that she did not "bully" Bristol Palin when she joked about her weight.

On the VH1 Divas Salute special, the comedian laughed at Palin's apparent weight gain during her stint on Dancing With The Stars, calling her "the white Precious".

However, speaking to Chelsea Handler on her chatshow, Griffin insisted that she was not trying to be malicious with the comments.

"I made several scandalous jokes, as I like to do, and I stand by all of them," the 50-year-old declared.

She added: "There's a big difference between being a comedian and bullying. It is a job. It's what we do."
