During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Dancing With The Stars contestant revealed that Hefner consulted her on his decision to tie the knot for the third time.
"I had a sit-down day with him without cameras, without media," Wilkinson said. "I had a chance to get a really good talk in with him."
The star continued: "He really seems happy. You have to be happy for someone that's happy like that. I'm happy for him. If that's what he wants to do, if that's where he wants to be in life, I'm there for him. I'm one of his best friends."
Hefner's relationship with his first spouse Mildred Williams ended more than 50 years ago. He was later married to 1989 'Playmate Of The Year' Kimberly Conrad.
Dancing With The Stars premieres on March 21 on ABC.
