The Dancing with the Stars professional revealed that while she likes to enjoy some of her favourite foods around the holidays, she makes sure to continue the same diet and exercise regime that she practices when the ABC dance competition is not on hiatus.
"Now that the show has wrapped, I have to be careful not to indulge," Burke explained to People.
"It's important for me to keep my cardio up, especially for my body type, or I'll gain weight so fast."
The 27-year-old added that not only is working out great for her body but it also lends itself to a healthier mental state. "If I go a week without working out, it makes me feel that I might as well keep indulging," she said. "If you really care about your body, then your mind starts to work better. So it's important that it all stays balanced."
In November, Burke and her celebrity partner Rob Kardashian came in second place during Dancing with the Stars' 13th season finale.
