Corrie's David: 'Men assume I'm gay'

Coronation Street star Jack P. Shepherd has revealed that people often think he is gay.

The actor - whose girlfriend is currently expecting their first child - said his physique and fashion sense attract the attention of other men.

He told New!: "A lot of people actually assume I'm gay because I'm quite thin and into my clothes. I've had a lot of that sort of attention from blokes."

Shepherd, who plays David Platt in the ITV1 soap, added: "I just say 'Oh, I'm not gay' and they go 'F**k off! I always assumed you were!'

"I suppose it's quite flattering. If someone fancies you it's not a bad thing, is it?"
