Kim Medcalf is back to work following a car crash in France last month.

The 28-year-old insisted upon returning to the EastEnders set even though she is still on crutches from a broken leg.

"Her leg is still swollen, so the producers have had to disguise the fact that she is injured and make it more comfortable for her," a source told The Mirror today. "She was adamant that she wanted to come back, even though she wasn't supposed to return for some time.

"Everyone told her to stay at home but she wanted to do it. On the set, there has to be a chair nearby for her to lean on and most of her scenes have been shot with her sitting down."
