Beth and Rhys bicker over the prospect of a future without each other, when Gilly breezes in with mortgage brochures. Deflated, Rhys practices with Josh for the battle of the bands contest, but manages to insult Michaela. Josh consoles Michaela, suggesting they work together on a new song while the rest of his family goes out for a meal.
At the restaurant, Beth feels stifled as Gilly makes excited plans about their future, and abruptly leaves. Later, a lonely Rhys receives a phone call from Beth telling him she can't cope. Rhys is alarmed and rushes over to the Ashworth's. He finds Beth distraught, as she explains she can't pretend she wants be part of Gilly's future. Beth admits she could never leave Rhys and the engrossed couple are unaware that Michaela catches sight of the lovers' parting kiss...
Tina is painfully anxious, while the boys are unaware of her predicament, as Russ walks in encouraging Dom to train with him for Monday's run. Left alone, Jacqui and Tina mull over when to come clean to Tony and Dom, but Jacqui bitterly points out how devastated both men will be. Jacqui begs Tina to keep quiet, reminding her that Tina also risks losing Dom. But Tina's determined to be honest.
Tina sends Dom a text telling him she wants to talk and insists Jacqui must confess to Tony. But as Tony gushes with excitement at how proud he is of Jacqui, she knows the truth will break her husband's heart. Unable to tell Tony, she rushes off, knowing she must stop Tina! A hesitant Tina is on the brink of telling Dom when Jacqui interrupts and urges her back to Il Gnosh. Knowing this is the only chance of a baby she and Tony will ever have, she implores Tina to keep the truth to herself.

After Kieron's challenge to beat him at the race, Kris arrives at the McQueen's ready for training. A slightly envious John Paul makes excuses not to join in, insisting he must get on with his coursework, still struck by how well Kieron is coping without him since they decided not to pursue their relationship. Training in the village, Kris struggles to keep up with Kieron's pace, but on seeing John Paul coming out of Drive ‘N' Buy, Kris can't help pointing out what a great time he's having with Kieron. John Paul's jealously rises as he joins the runners in the pub, only to find himself feeling more left out of Kieron's life.
Newt and Lauren are bored, and jump at the chance of teasing Elliot in Mobs. Discovering his passion for astro-physics they decide to put him to good use, and convince him to help them with their coursework. But when Elliot gives them the address of his UFO conspiracy site, Newt and Lauren just can't resist taking him for a ride.
