Joseph is called in to the police station for questioning regarding the scissor stabbing incident involving Jac and Alan Clooney. Joseph tells the police that he believes Jac is capable of murder and his statement plays on his conscience. This brings added complication to his and Faye’s relationship as Joseph appears ‘supportive’ to Jac.

Maddy receives a phone-call from Dan, who declares that he is back in town and wants to meet her for a drink later that day as he has something to tell her. Maddy is shocked by Dan’s call and finds it hard to concentrate on the ward, resulting in her making a mistake during surgery. Dan cancels their meeting last minute leaving Maddy shattered.
