2268: Lauren and Newt make a shocking discovery

Newt's disgusted by Lauren's bravado over Elliot and suggests that they admit that it was a prank and apologise. As Newt scrapes together some cash to buy Elliot a present, Lauren is unimpressed, accusing him of being two-faced.

Sickened by Lauren's insensitivity, he declares that their friendship is over and marches off. Newt grows more worried when he discovers Elliot hasn't been home since the night before, and when Lauren arrives to apologise for her behaviour, they both realise that their prank has gone too far.

They decide to return to the woods, determined to find Elliot and explain everything. Darkness falls and just as Newt and Lauren are about to give up and go to the police, they make a terrifying discovery that could change their lives forever…

John Paul is having second thoughts about his relationship with Kieron, so fobs him off to Carmel to avoid talking about it. When Kris admits that Kieron has divulged their secret affair, John Paul worries that everyone will find out.

Kris reassures him that he'll keep his mouth shut, and advises John Paul to enjoy being with Kieron instead of focussing on the angst of him being a priest. As Kieron counsels Carmel over her wedding to Calvin, he finds himself wondering if John Paul is a test from God. When John Paul confesses that Kieron doesn't mean enough for it to be worth the risk of getting caught, Kieron realises that breaking his vows could be the biggest mistake he's ever made…

Sarah discovers that Elliot hasn't returned to Halls and Kris has no idea where he is. She's taken aback by Roger's coolness when she tells him Elliot's missing, but it's nothing compared to her surprise when he introduces her to his wife Jennifer. Sarah follows him to The Dog to confront him but Roger insists that his marriage is a sham.

Unconvinced, Sarah confides in Zoe, explaining that Elliot's vanished without a trace and is relieved when an understanding Zoe asks her to consider moving back home again… But when Sarah sees Jennifer again, she decides that she has some unfinished business to deal with first…

Katy is infuriated by Justin's attentions while she's trying to do an essay, leaving Justin feeling like spare part. When he overhears Warren getting grief from Louise, Justin laments his uselessness, wishing he could impress Katy. Warren makes a suggestion that could help Justin and appease Louise, but does Justin have what it takes to pull it off?
