5400: It's the day of Steph and Toadie's wedding

Steph and Toadie prepare for their seemingly-doomed wedding. Unwell Susan is unable to give her reading and Libby pulls out of bridesmaid duties to care for her mother. Steph buries her deep reservations and Libby returning to the fold gives Steph a lifeline, but at the church door she realises she suffers the usual bout of nerves. Inside, Toadie’s angst-ridden as he worries that his greatest fear will come true – and Steph won’t be behind the church doors.

Susan is rushed to hospital but remains determined to give her reading at the wedding. Toadie releases her from her responsibilities and Susan finally sees sense, agreeing to Karl’s suggestion that she seek specialist care and treatment at an MS retreat. Rachel struggles with guilt at Susan’s condition but Susan assures her that her recent misdemeanours have not caused this recent episode.

Disempowered at home, Paul finds himself receiving attention from an eager Kirsten Gannon. Struggling with temptation, Paul is faced with a decision that could see him return to his old ways.
