'EastEnders' planning own Tricky Dicky

EastEnders producers are developing a character similar to Corrie killer Richard Hillman, according to the Daily Star today.
The as-yet unnamed character will join the soap this Autumn with plans to redevelop Albert Square using his own money. Unlike Richard, he won't be a killer, but will have a "violent streak".
"There's a new villain on the way," a source told the tabloid. "He has no name yet and there's no actor to play him. But he'll be a property developer with underworld links -- maybe a money launderer too.
"He won't be a killer like Richard, but will have a violent streak, especially when people try to thwart his plans. He'll have links with drug barons, the vice trade and other criminals."
The new villain will try and get the existing residents to move out so he can repopulate the area with yuppies.
"The plan is for freehold and rental properties to be bought up by the rogue speculator," the source added. "Then he'll hit residents with 'proposals' for them to move out.
"Loads of cash will be on offer, and if that doesn't work violence and intimidation is on the agenda. Millions of pounds in profits could be at stake in what will be the biggest threat ever to Albert Square."
