Dirty Den is coming back to Walford.
It sounds remarkable, but according to The Sun today, the EastEnders villain will be making a return to the soap fourteen years after he was shot and buried.
Gangland boss Dalton ordered his killing at the time, but is believed a new twist in the storyline will reveal that Den, played by Leslie Grantham, faked his own death to get the gang off his back.
After Dalton dies, Den decides it is safe to return to Walford. His reappearance follows a storyline which sees daughters Sharon and Vicki track down their long-lost half brother, Dennis.
"EastEnders has big plans for Den’s return as he was Walford’s first bad boy," a source told the newspaper. "It will be interesting to see how his reappearance impacts on the Square."
Dirty Den will be back on screens in September.
