Coronation Street bad-boy Terry Duckworth is to return to the soap at the end of the year.
Actor Nigel Pivaro is the latest big name to be signed up for a return, following the likes of Bev Callard, Julie Goodyear and Charlie Lawson, all of whom will be re-introduced this autumn.
"I have a good working relationship with Coronation Street," Pivaro told the Daily Star newspaper. "They let me go off and do other things but I'm always happy to work on the show."
Terry was last seen being sent back to prison at Christmas 2001 after breaking out of jail and hiding out in dad Jack's allotment shed. His returning storyline - due to air this Christmas - will see him become an item with serial maneater Tracy Barlow.
"The final plot hasn't been finalised, but what is certain is that Terry will get together with Tracy," said an insider. "One of the ideas is for them to become Weatherfield's answer to Bonnie and Clyde. It certainly is exciting to have Terry back - he always gives the show that extra edge."
