Brian Capron - Corrie serial killer Richard Hillman - is to join the cast of ITV Sunday night drama Where The Heart Is.
Capron will play Ozias Harding, a successful businessman who arrives in Skelthwaite and shows an interest in Goddards, the struggling paper factory.
At first he is welcomed by the locals, who believe he will save their jobs, but it soon becomes clear that he has a hidden agenda.
A spokesman for the programme said: "We are delighted that Brian Capron is joining us and we are sure his addition to the cast will prove popular with our viewers."
Capron's debut will come in the eighth series, due to be shown this summer.
