'Biggest ever fire' planned in Corrie

Don setting fire to Underworld back in '97

Mike Baldwin will face ruin after his knicker business is destroyed in a fire started by Janice Battersby, according to The Sun today.

It will be nearly eight years since Mike's factory was last set to, when a bitter Don Brennan tried to exact revenge in 1997.

In an episode this April, Janice will be seen having a cigarette in the cleaning cupboard despite Nick's ban on smoking in the building.

"She drops a ciggie and it starts a huge fire - burning Underworld to the ground," an insider told the newspaper. "It is one of the most ferocious blazes seen in The Street, and wipes out Mike's empire in one go. He is left with a huge battle with his insurers on his hand."

The blaze will trigger the arrival of Mike's nephew (Bradley Walsh) to the Street.
