Tommy and Angela Harris will be staying on Coronation Street until early next year, ITV has confirmed today.
Actors Thomas Craig and Katherine Hunt - who were among the five stars axed by new producer Tony Wood in January - have signed new deals that will keep them around a little longer.
A Corrie spokeswoman explained: Tommy and Angela are still leaving but, as was always the plan, both Thomas and Kathryn have signed new contracts which take them up to early 2005. Scriptwriters are currently working on an explosive storyline which will take them out with a bang."
