Another star quits 'The Bill'
Beth Cordingly, who plays WPC Kerry Young in ITV cop drama The Bill, shocked bosses this week after announcing her departure, following in the footsteps of her co-star lover Daniel Macpherson, according to The Sun today.

An insider said: “Beth’s leaving has nothing to do with Dan’s decision to go. They are still very much together but she is not planning to go to Australia. She wants to work here.???

Beth has been promised an explosive exit, which will be kept a big secret and is set to be filmed in the summer. Her exit will be even more explosive than her up and coming storylines which includes her trying to stop a suicide bomber detonating himself and also a date rape plot, which will see Sgt Dale Smith be accused of drugging and attacking her.

“Beth’s loved her time on the show and is on a high," the insider continued, “but she thought it was time to move on - she wants to do some theatre, try film and do more TV - she’s thrilled they have given her such fantastic stuff to go out on.???

Despite the loss of two characters, The Bill bosses are planning to return two familiar faces to the beat; Maggie Lyons (Linda Lusardi) will return after her cop boyfriend Don Beech (Billy Murray) reappears in Sun Hill.
