Leslie Grantham could quit EastEnders within days, the Daily Star reports today.
The Dirty Den actor was dogged by more allegations in the press at the weekend, including a claim that he had cheated on his wife by having "kinky rough sex" with a blonde divorcee.
Last week he was forced to apologise for the initial revelations, when images surfaced of him performing sex acts on a webcam in his BBC dressing room.
"He hoped it would just go away, but it hasn't and now it's got too much," an insider told the newspaper. "He feels the producers are sure to get rid of him and it's just a case of when. The rest of the cast have either made him an outcast or are failing to offer support. He knows a spell out of the limelight would be the best solution. This story isn't going to go away until he steps down."
The BBC have thusfar refused to comment on the subsequent allegations.
