Her problems start as bad headaches but she is adamant that they are only migraines. Unconvinced, corner shop boss Dev Alahan pays for Sunita to go for a private check-up. After the check-up, the brain scan shows she has a life threatening brain tumour and aneurysm, which needs urgent surgery.
A Corrie insider told the paper: "She tells Dev, 'If the aneurysm doesn't kill me the operation probably will'."
Things go from bad to worse for the corner shop as this week Dev finds out he has cancer after his routine check-up. Sunita's suffering will be aired later in the year.
