EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has been banned from a garden centre in a row over conifer trees.

The star - Kat Moon in the BBC soap - is taking legal action against Brown's Garden Centre in Enfield, north London after 3 of the 46 conifers she bought wilted and died.

Speaking to The People newspaper today, centre owner Andrew Brown claimed that Wallace subsequently rang to complain and went on a "foul-mouthed rant."

"She is an absolute nut case and a prima donna," Brown told the newspaper.  "The language was atrocious.  I've now banned her."

A spokesman for the actress, 32, said: "She is taking legal action against the garden centre for supplying faulty goods. She denies being rude to staff."
