Coronation Street was the most watched soap yesterday, attracting 9.13m (41.4%) for its midweek episode.

The episode, which aired at 7.30pm, saw Steve ban his mother Liz and best friend Lloyd from his wedding to Becky after he discovered they were taking wagers on whether the ceremony would go ahead.

ITV2's repeat at 11pm added a further 200k (2.2%).

Aaron and Victoria's shenanigans during last night's screening of Emmerdale were seen by 6.8m (33.4%) at 7pm.

Doctors, meanwhile, pulled in 1.75m (24.4%) for its instalment entitled 'A Life In Pictures'.

Channel 4's 6.30pm edition of Hollyoaks, in which Amy punched newcomer Lydia, attracted 1.67m (8.5%). E4's first look 30 minutes later averaged 644k (3.5%).

Carmella and Chloe's departures in Neighbours, meanwhile, brought in 1.52m (10.1%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's repeat at 7pm added a further 313k (1.7%).

Home and Away's 6pm transmission on Five drew 1.02m (5.7%), before Fiver's first look at 6.30pm delivered 637k (3.6%).
