Coronation Street took a slight knock in the ratings on Friday night due to the BBC's coverage of Comic Relief.

Last night's two instalments, which featured Becky and Steve's will-they-won't-they wedding, attracted 8.24m (33.5%) and 8.41m (32.7%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

Their ITV2 repeats between 11pm and midnight added a further 255k (1.8%) and 346k (3.1%).

Emmerdale's 7pm outing averaged 6.25m (28.3%).

BBC daytime medical serial Doctors delivered 1.69m (21.5%) at 1.45pm for its episode entitled 'The Thirteenth'.

Justin's confession to Leila that he kissed Hannah in Hollyoaks, meanwhile, was seen by 1.61m (8.2%) at 6.30pm, while E4's first look at 7pm put in 457k (2.3%). The timeshift repeat on E4+1 added 108k (0.5%).

Neighbours' 5.30pm edition on Five, in which Paul ruined Rebecca's date with Andrew, drew 1.53m (10.2%) and the repeat on Fiver at 7pm added a further 221k (1.1%).

Five's transmission of Home and Away had 999k (5.6%) at 6pm, the first time in two months that the show's ratings have dipped below 1m. Fiver's first look at 6.30pm interested 549k (3.2%) and was the most watched multichannel programme of the day.
