Coronation Street was the most watched soap on Friday, with 9.09m (42.6%) and 8.15m (35.3%) tuning in for its Friday night double bill.

The episodes, which featured Luke revealing to Tony that he's bought Carla's share of Underworld and Tara launching her art gallery, later added 90k (2.9%) and 95k (4.3%) in their slightly later ITV2 repeat slots between 1am and 2am.

Meanwhile, Archie's attempts to come to terms and deal with Danielle's identity in EastEnders grabbed 8.32m (37.8%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat was the most watched multichannel programme of the day, logging 744k (4.3%).

Emmerdale's daily edition, during which Nicola accepted Jimmy's 'offer' to move in, was seen by 6.65m (34.3%) at 7pm.

Doctors attracted 1.62m (27.3%) at 1.45pm for its episode entitled 'Past Imperfect'.

Five's screening of Neighbours, which saw disaster strike during the teens' rafting trip, delivered 1.43m (10.8%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's 7pm repeat added a further 178k (1%).

Nancy's shock discovery that Kris and Ravi were having a gay affair behind her back during last night's instalment of Hollyoaks took 1.36m (7.6%). The first look outing at 7pm on E4 interested 570k (3.3%).

Home and Away's 6pm transmission on Five interested 1.09m (6.7%), while its first look on Fiver at 6.30pm had 547k (3.5%).
