Mr C - killed off in a car crash earlier this year - will be returning to Hollyoaks later this week.
The "councillor of hearts," played by Berni Latham, will be making a comeback as a spiritual sidekick for Bombhead (Lee Otway).
"With Bombhead desperately wishing his life would get back to how it use to be when Mr C was around, he discovers he can turn his imagination to create a walking, talking Mr C," said a source.
"As Bombhead seeks solace in Mr C his biggest problem now is he knows he can wish Mr C into existence and he doesn't want him to leave. He's got his best mate back and is determined not to let him go."
Latham began filming the scenes earlier this summer and will be seen on screen from this Friday. "It's been really great returning to Hollyoaks and seeing everyone again - it feels like I've never been away", said Latham. "To come back into a storyline that I find very moving and working with Lee again is great. It is sure to be an emotional roller coaster ride for both Mr C and Bombhead - with more than a few laughs along the way!"
