Wendi Peters reveals her 'takeover bid'

Actress Wendi Peters - who plays feisty Cilla Brown - has told how she wants to get her hands on Coronation Street's Fred Elliot (John Savident) when she's finished with Les Bettersby (Bruce Jones).

She says that her character should seduce the Rover's landlord and snatch control of the infamous pub.

Peters told The Sun: "Cilla could worm her way into the pub, and the butcher's shop and gradually take over."
