EastEnders reigned supreme in the soap ratings last night, early figures show.

The second visit of the week to Walford, which saw Ronnie catching Jack and Roxy kissing at baby Amy's christening, was watched by 7.87m (36.3%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 830k (4.6%).

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's offering at 7pm logged 6.33m (33.1%).

BBC One's episode of Doctors, titled 'Code of Silence', during which Julia and Lily found Ruth sobbing in her wardrobe, drew 1.69m (24.7%) at 1.45pm.

Hollyoaks' 6.30pm outing managed 1.66m (9%), before E4's 7pm first look had 499k (2.9%). E4+1's timeshift transmission took 106k (0.5%).

The tragic climax to Libby and Dan's wedding day during Five's instalment of Neighbours at 5.30pm attracted 1.52m (11.2%). Fiver's repeat added a further 241k (1.4%).

Home and Away's 6pm edition on Five took 1.04m (6.1%), while Fiver's first look at 7pm averaged 589k (3.6%).
