
Coronation Street was the most watched show in the soap ratings battle on Monday night.
Its first two episodes of the week - during which Dev proposed to Tara before she publicly humiliated him by unveiling a 30-foot picture of him naked - were seen by 8.37m (41%) and 9.33m (41.3%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
EastEnders' screening at 8pm, which saw an inebriated Phil being taken to hospital after falling down the stairs, averaged 8.47m (39.4%). BBC Three's 10pm repeat was the most watched multichannel programme of the day, adding a further 737k (4.2%).
Meanwhile, Emmerdale's offering at 7pm attracted 6.34m (34.1%).

BBC One's Doctors, titled 'Consequential Loss' had 1.48m (24.8%) at 1.45pm.
Five's instalment of Neighbours at 5.30pm logged its lowest audience since last month with 1.23m (10.4%). Fiver's repeat showing at 7pm added 240k (1.5%).
Home and Away's first episode of the week took 1.04m (6.7%) at 6pm, while Fiver's first look drew 534k (3.5%) 30 minutes later.
