Soaps Ratings Roundup: May 27

Despite attracting its lowest audience in months, Emmerdale was the most-watched soap last night, early figures show.

The rural soap's midweek instalment, which featured Mark and Natasha's vow renewal, was seen by a mere 4.21m (22.6%) at the slightly earlier time of 6.30pm.

BBC One's daily dose of Doctors, titled 'Bed Hopping Mad' took 1.76m (21.5%) in its usual 1.45pm slot.

Meanwhile, Five's edition of Neighbours, during which Libby received the devastating news that she can't have any more children, delivered 1.41m (10.6%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's repeat showing at 7pm added a further 193k (1.2%).

Channel 4's third episode of Hollyoaks' stunt week, which saw Warren being knocked unconscious by an unidentified assailant, logged 1.23m (6.6%) at 6.30pm, while Channel 4+1's timeshift transmission added 124k (0.6%).

E4's first look put in 555k (3.3%) at 7pm, before E4+1's repeat had 184k (0.8%).

Five's outing of Home and Away, during which a dark secret from Roman's past was revealed, averaged 1.04m (6.2%) at 6pm. Fiver's first look 30 minutes later interested 398k (2.4%).
